Clean DRAFT stamps and marks from your own images and PDFs with AI — coming soon.
This conversion needs specialised processing that we can't run privately in your browser yet, so the tool isn't available today. Here's what it will do when it launches — and what you can use right now.
The most-requested tools are built first.
We've all been there: the only copy of your own document still says "DRAFT" across every page, a scanned page carries a date stamp in the corner, or a photo you took has an old logo you've since retired. PDFDoco's upcoming Watermark Remover will use AI to erase unwanted marks from your own images and PDFs and fill in the background naturally. It's in development — this page explains how it will work, what it's for, and how to clean up files today.
An image or PDF you own or have rights to edit.
Brush over it, or let AI detect text stamps and logos automatically.
The model reconstructs the background behind the removed area.
Get a clean version of your file in its original format.
Fills removed areas with background that matches its surroundings.
Paint over a mark or let detection find stamps and labels for you.
Files will be processed securely and deleted right after.
Watermarks often exist to protect someone's work. Removing a photographer's or stock agency's watermark to use their image without paying is copyright infringement in most countries. This tool is built for legitimate cases: your own drafts and proofs, your own photos, documents your organisation created, and files you have permission to edit. If you want to use a watermarked stock image, license it — you'll get a clean, high-resolution copy.
Removing a "DRAFT" or "CONFIDENTIAL" stamp from the final version of your own report when the original file is lost; cleaning date stamps from your scanned family photos; removing an outdated company logo from your own marketing images; or tidying scanner marks and handwritten notes from documents you own. In each case the file is yours, and the mark is simply in the way.
Deleting a mark is easy; reconstructing what was underneath is the hard part. AI inpainting models predict the missing texture, color, and detail from the surrounding image, which gives far more natural results than blurring or cloning. Those models are large and need dedicated GPUs to run quickly, so this tool will run on secure servers rather than in your browser.
If a stamp sits on a plain white area of your PDF, the whiteout tool in our PDF Editor can cover it in seconds, and you can type replacement text on top. If the mark is in a margin or corner, Crop PDF can trim it away from every page at once. And if you have the original document file, re-exporting it without the watermark is always the cleanest option.

Not yet. AI inpainting needs GPU servers, so the tool is still in development. This page will become the working tool when it launches.
It depends on who owns the content. Removing marks from your own files, or files you have permission to edit, is fine. Removing someone else's watermark to use their work without permission is usually copyright infringement.
If the stamp is on a plain background, use the whiteout tool in our PDF Editor to cover it. If you still have the original Word or design file, export it again without the watermark.
JPG, PNG, and WebP images, and PDF documents. Cleaned files will be returned in the same format.
Results are usually very natural on simple backgrounds, textures, and skies. Marks over faces, fine text, or complex patterns are harder, and you'll be able to refine the selection and try again.
When the tool launches, files will be processed over an encrypted connection and deleted immediately after processing.
